Hello, im Annie, a mama, maker, writer, yogi, dreamer, wife & procaffinater.

I live with my beautiful husband (and best friend) Mark, our miracle baby boy Bodhi River and cat baby, Lizzie within the beautiful Shropshire countryside.

I have always been a bit of a wanderer in my life and after training as a nurse in Birmingham I worked in a variety of jobs from counselling to PR & events although none forfilling my creative, free spirited nature.

As a child I loved to draw and write and with the support and encouragement of Mark I decided a few years ago to stop trying to fit into a conventional career and finally decided to do what I love and so in 2014 I started this blog and freelance writing. Since having Bodhi I have also designed and created a clothing range for mamas and babies and one day not far from here there will be the book I have always wanted to write.

I spend most of my days daydreaming and creating whilst drinking alot of coffee and navigating the crazy, messy and beautiful journey of motherhood.

There are good days, bad days … and dam right ugly days, but I always look to find the beauty in the simple things and truly believe that life is always better when you can smile about the ups & downs and share these times with others.

This blog is where I share everything, my infertility & IVF, motherhood, travel, nature, food, yoga and generally just my boho mama life.

Send me an e-mail at thatbohomamauk@gmail.co.uk

I am currently taking a limited amount of projects for freelance writing, if you would like to drop me an e-mail to the above address, I shall get back to you as soon as I can.

A boho inspired brand for mama’s and little cubs designed with a happy hippie vibe coming Autumn / Winter 2017.

In 2013 I met my soul mate, we moved in together and got married within a year and I have smiled and adored him every day since. You can see the video of our wedding that our lovely & talented friend made here. (Painted Life Productions)

After many many unsuccessful months of trying “the old fashioned way” I was diagnosed with unexplained infertility. We have been through 5 rounds of Clomid and 2 rounds of IVF and every single injection, tear shed and tough day was worth it, on Friday the 24th of February, 2017 at 8 minutes past midnight our beautiful soul Bodhi River came earth side. You can read his birth story here.

In 2012 my brother; a poet, musician, eternal wanderer and free spirit was killed. With the support and kindness of a community a beautiful event was created in his memory. The Big Busk is a charity music festival that is held every year on his birthday. You can see the 2013 video here.

I LOVE our home we have made together, escapes to my spiritual home of St Ives, holding hands, being in my pjs by 7pm, cocktails, lazy breakfasts reading and the simple life … and these days more than 2 hours sleep!!!
